For several clients I am performing remote consulting. Usually remote support occurs as a follow up of a completed SAP implementation project. However, it is also possible to start a remote support relationship directly. The first few support activities will be conducted on site, in order to get to know the key users, IT procedures and the system setup.
If a SAP FICO problem proves to be too complicated to discuss over the phone, then on site meetings are organized to get a clear definition. Once the problem is well defined, I will submit an estimate of the time it will take to fix. The solution can then be implemented as remote support. The remote connection can be made via my own computer equipment, or via a pre-installed portable PC provided by the client, whichever is preferred.
Since I am providing support for SAP systems which I implemented or which I got to know thoroughly over time, support can be very efficient ( so competitive). Also follow up projects can be executed efficiently e.g. release changes, implementation of legal or organizational changes.
For relatively stable, medium size SAP systems, this approach has lead to competitive SAP FICO support, with satisfied users.
